SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
The MaintenanceMechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on the vehicles, trucks andequipment or schedules with outside vendors any necessary repairs that cannotbe performed in house.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· AllNorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safetystandards
· Ensureall actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, andstrategic business objectives
· Performservicing, trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, andtune ups.
· Schedulesmaintenance work and repairs of vehicles, power operated equipment, andtrailers; and sometimes will work with outside shops on repairs.
· Willreplace and repair power train, electrical, hydraulic components and parts.
· Mostjob time is spent in the shop with exposure to mechanical and electricalhazards, fumes and some chemicals. Someout of town travel required.
· Liftingand carrying up to 70 pounds required.
· Protectiveclothing and equipment required
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Mustbe able to demonstrate a good safety record
· Mustpossess strong interpersonal communication skills
· Mustdemonstrate knowledge, through experience and/or training in operation,troubleshooting, electronics, performing maintenance, hydraulic experience andrepair of gas and diesel vehicles, power operated equipment, and trailers.
· Formaltraining and certifications mechanical skills a plus.
· Musthave a valid Montana Commercial Drivers License
· Mustown your own tools for the job
· Experiencewith Computers including the Internet and Microsoft applications includingemail and entering information.
